Garba Sani, a secondary school student has been found dead in an abandoned hostel at Fika Government Secondary School, Potiskum, Potiskum local government area of Yobe state. According to Daily Trust the student left class to urinate behind the abandoned structure around 9:00 am, but he died later. A teacher in the school, who pleaded anonymity said the student might have been forcefully dragged into building and murdered. He said that some students claimed that they saw a man suspected to be the killer, who managed to scale the school fence and ran into nearby houses at Garin Maina after he was chased by students. “The students gave him a hot chase but lost him at Garin Maina. Those who saw him at a close range said he resembled an ex-student, but we also learnt that the Army have arrested him,”he said. According to reports the identity of the person who attacked other students at the Ohio University campus Monday has been revealed.  According to CBS, the attacker was Abdul Artan, an 18-year-old student at the university. The Anti Jungle Justice Bill went in for 1st reading in the Senate on Tuesday 11th August, 2016 & 2nd reading Weds 5th October, 2016. The Anti Jungle Justice Bill seeks to criminalize all forms of lynching, mob action and extrajudicial killing of anyone. The bill aimed to to discourage the use of jungle justice by ensuring the wheel of proper justice is well oiled. The bill which is sponsored by Sen Dino Melaye representating Kogi West Senatorial district will ensure that perpetrators of lynchings and mob actions are brought to book. The extrajudicial killings has of late been on the increase.
