A Nigerian man fell from the fourth floor of a south Delhi building on Friday afternoon and died, apparently trying to evade arrest after a police team raided the house for narcotics. Police said 25 kilos of Ketamine, a drug believed to induce a trance effect, were found during a search. The seized contraband could fetch Rs 20 crore in the clandestine international drug market. Police said inquest proceedings were initiated for 40-year-old Cyprian Ama Ogbonnaya, a native of Nigeria, though no FIR was registered over his death. Ogbonnaya fell to his death in Phase-1 of Chhatarpur Enclave around 12.15pm. The deputy commissioner of Delhi Police’s special cell, Pramod Kushwaha, said a team was sent to the neighbourhood following a tip-off that drugs were stored and peddled from a building.   The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) on Monday said it has apprehended pirated materials worth about N10 billion in the last six years in the country. Mr Afam Ezekude, the NCC Director-General, made this known on Monday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja. The commission has scaled up its enforcement activities in the last six and half years and we have seized pirated items to the tune of over 10 billion naira; remove from markets and shops. “So in terms of enforcement and prosecution, things have really, dramatically changed over the last six and half years and the creative industry should be well aware of that. Ezekude also said that the commission’s strategies in eradicating piracy remained the same. He said that the commission would introduce new legislations to strengthen the fight against piracy in the country

The Nigerian Police yesterday confirmed that the attack at Ozubulu Church in Anambra was caused by a feud between two brothers based in South Africa, And now mulitiple reports have given their names as Chief Aloy Ikegwuonu a.k.a Bishop (rumored to be a drug baron), and another Ozubulu man popularly known as Obrocho. Eyewitnesses allege that gunmen had traced him to his house, but were told he had gone to church where he was meant to hold a thanksgiving service. According to reports, the battle had allegedly claimed some lives already over there in South Africa.

  Bishop Cephas Mabo, the founder and General Overseer of Radiant International Church, in Zambia, has been arrested by the police in Kasama for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl. The bishop who was arrested Friday night was said to have raped the girl, who is one of his church members, in the bush where they had gone for fasting and prayer. The victim was said to have attempted to commit suicide after the incident. Dailymail Zimbia reports that Northern Province Police Commissioner, Rechard Mweene, while confirming the development last night, said “the incident happened around 15:00 hours on Wednesday in the mountains along the Kasama-Isoka road.” The Commissioner of Police added that the 45-year-old Bishop who resides at Kasama’s Malama compound has since been detained in police custody and charged with rape.
