Olatundun Alexander Borokinni was an HND 2 student of the Department of Computer Science. She went into labor on Monday afternoon and was taken to a private hospital where her set of twin babies were delivered. However, she developed complications and was referred to Federal Medical Centre, FMC Idi-aba, Abeokuta. However, on the way to the hospital, the vehicle conveying her broke down, according to reports, and she died before they could get to FMC Abeokuta. Kenyan actress , Jacqueline Nyamide , popularly known as Wilbroda , has been left in shock after discovering that her househelp breastfed her son when he was eight months -old . Speaking to a Kenyan Magazine, Wibroda said that the incident became known after she got an anonymous tip while on a trip to Mombasa Wibroda disclosed that she received a call that the househelp was breastfeeding the child to make him stop crying . “ When my son was about eight months old , I had to travel to Mombasa on a work assignment so I left him in the care of a nanny whom I had trusted so much. While in Mombasa, I received an anonymous call and was informed that my house help breastfed my son whenever he cried ,” said Wilbroda . Residents of Aba, the commercial city of Abia State have accused the Nigerian Army of killing a young man identified as Nnamdi over the Wednesday’s sit-at-home order. It was alleged that residents of Chigbu Street, off Uratta junction by Port Harcourt road in Aba South local government area of Abia State had on Wednesday trooped out to mark the 30th anniversary of the defunct Biafra Republic but were resisted by some men of the Nigerian Army. The Senator representing Abia South, Enyinnaya Abaribe has warned the opposition parties that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won’t accept defeat in the 2019 presidential election. Abaribe said the APC had grown so “vicious and dangerous” and will find it hard to relinquish power if they lose. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to the defection of Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to its fold. Recall that the embattled lawmaker had on Wednesday decamped from the APC to PDP on the floor of the senate. Following the alleged torture and rape of two teenagers by five men in Ondo town, Ondo State, some traditionalists have sealed up the houses of the suspects. The suspects – Bode Akinsiku, Olabanji Femi, Abiodun Ayodele, Fadairo Wahab, and Adedayo Adebayo – are currently in custody, have been remanded by Chief Magistrates’ Court for the alleged incident, which took place on Kogbona Street. The suspects were also accused of recording and posting their misconduct. It was gathered that the traditionalists performed some rites over the matter considered a taboo in the town. THE restoration of electricity in the early hours of Monday threw a man suspected to be in his late 30 s off a high tension pole in his failed attempt to commit suicide. The unidentified man had climbed the high tension pole close to Jevinik Restaurant in New GRA, Port Harcourt at about 11 pm on Sunday, claiming he was tired of life and that nobody was willing to help him after the death of his parents . It was gathered that the man ’s presence on the high tension pole attracted a crowd , who begged him for over an hour not to take his life .
