A new study has found a link between frequent sexual activity and improved brain function in older adults. People who engaged in regular sex scored higher on tests that measured their verbal fluency and their ability to visually perceive objects and the spaces between them, researchers claim. The study, conducted by researchers at Coventry University and Oxford University, involved 73 people aged 50-83. Participants filled in questionnaires on how often, on average, they had had sex over the past 12 months. They also answered questions about their general health and lifestyle. The 28 men and 45 women also took part in a standardised test, which is typically used to measure different patterns of brain function in older adults and focuses on attention, memory, fluency, language and visuospatial ability. Cult group clash in Cross Rivers, 3 dead, DPO shot

Three persons have been reportedly killed in the renewed cult clash in Ogep-Osokom in Boki local government area of Cross River State. The clash between two rivalry cult groups, klans and Axe continued Friday morning in Ogep-Osokom.it was  gathered that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the area who went to the scene to possibly stop the clash was also shot. The DPO sustained serious injury and was rushed to an undisclosed health institution in the State. Other victims who were also shot are also obtaining treatment in different locations in the area. An eyewitness said that over three persons were shot to death. “We wake up this morning to hear gunshot everywhere and some persons rushed and informed the Police. The DPO and others came with a view to salvaging the situation and stop the clash, but this was not possible. “In the process, our DPO was shot on the head. He narrowly escaped death. 5 dead as car crashes in Ogun state

Five persons were on Friday killed and two others injured in an accident involving a truck and a Toyota Camry car at Sagamu – Ogijo road in Ogun State. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, made this known in a statement in Abeokuta. He said that the accident happened on Thursday night around Igbara town stretch of the road. Akinbiyi, who attributed the cause to malfunctioned brake system and excessive speed said it involved a Toyota Camry Car marked AAA 889 ER and a Truck with registration number KNA 346 XA. The TRACE Spokesman said that the driver of the truck had trouble controlling the wheel when his brake malfunctioned and rammed into the Camry car that was parked by the road side. Akinbiyi said, “The truck had a break failure due to over speeding and rammed into the Camry car parked by the roadside. “All the five passengers in the Camry car, including the driver died on the spot and their bodies...
