President Buhari and his Ivorian counterpart, Alassane Ouattara have expressed concern that political instability in Togo, if not averted, could have regional consequences. Both leaders expressed the view during a bilateral meeting in Abidjan on the margins of the 5th AU-EU Summit. “We must have a solution in Togo. The friends of the opposition and authorities must talk to them on the steps to jointly take to achieve stability. They must work towards gaining the trust of each other. There will be regional consequences for instability in Togo and this will surely come at a cost to development,’’ President Buhari said. While hearings was going on he kept on wondering what she could have been arrested for. Even though he was undercover at the hotel, the position he saw her on the floor was quite questionable. He didn’t really pay attention but somehow he started thinking of it all over again. He had missed something, he didn’t get what Sandra was trying to communicate to him. Now everything was getting back to him, that made him more curious as to why she has been arrested. About 45 minutes later, there came Sandra accompanied by the police. Her case was adjourned, the Judge adjourned it so that the persecutors will gather more substantial evidence, meanwhile Sandra was not granted bail. She was to remain in jail until 2 weeks time when the given date will be due. Elton was permitted to talk to Sandra just for some few minutes before she was taken back to jail.

A pregnant woman and six other persons were crushed to death in a fatal accident that occured at Mechanic village along OGTV/Ajebo road in Abeokuta, Ogun state last night. According to eyewitnesses, the accident involved a white Volvo truck and a red Nissan blue bird. According to the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in Ogun state, Clement Oladele, the truck with registration number: KJA 731 XP had brake failure and lost control which led to a head-on collision with the blue bird car with registration number: ED 638 EKY, coming from opposite direction. Nine persons including seven males, a pregnant woman and one child were involved in the accident. The pregnant woman, the child and five males died in the accident. The remains of the deceased persons has been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, mortuary while the injured ones are being treated at the same hospital. The male-dominated Kumamoto city assembly found Yuka Ogata responsible for disrupting the flow of a session as she took her son into the assembly hall. The assembly’s rules do not allow a non-assembly member in this case the baby to enter the assembly floor during a session. Ogata, one of the six female council members among the 48-member municipal assembly, wanted to highlight the challenges women face in Japan. The militants who kidnapped the six Senior Secondary School pupils of Lagos Model College, Igbonla, Epe, Lagos State, a few months ago, were among some youths that surrendered their arms to embrace the amnesty programme of the Ondo State Government on Tuesday. A late night fire outbreak on Monday has gutted five of eight shops attached to a Union Bank building on 411 Road Junction, Gowon Estate, Federal Housing Authority, Egbeda. The fire began at the makeshift shops at about 11.20 pm shortly after electricity supply was taken by the providers, Ikeja Electric. However, many of the shop owners had closed and gone home.
