But Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have done their best to make the arrivals feel at ease, and overcome any culture shock, by providing a hefty welcome pack.

It includes a guide to Indian Weddings For Dummies, likewise Western Weddings For Dummies, a cheeky Oh S**t Kit for emergencies, traditional Indian snacks, flowers and even comfortable shoes.

The welcome guide features a monogram of the couple’s intertwined initials, and is labelled Priyanka And Nick Information Guide, Jodhpur, India, 2018.

Adding further traditional touches to the pre-wedding festivities, the couple also lavished everyone with special personalised silver coins – which feature Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi on it.

Quantico star Priyanka Chopra and U.S. singer Nick Jonas are to marry this weekend in a two-day ceremony at a venue dubbed India’s most opulent royal palace.

Chopra, 36, and 26-year-old Jonas celebrated their engagement this year after meeting at an Oscars after-party last year.

Wishing them well: The pair have also set up a wishing well tree, which is becoming hugely popular in the wedding industry, allowing invitees to hang up messages of love and support

The couple arrived with their families in the western Indian heritage city of Jodhpur on Thursday, and headed to the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace where the wedding will take place.

Details about the wedding have been scarce, but Hollywood actors Dwayne Johnson, Lupita Nyong’o and talk show host Kelly Ripa are among those expected to attend, Indian media reported.

Not thought to be among the expected wedding guests are Priyanka’s close friend Meghan Markle, the Duchess Of Sussex, who has cut back on travel after revealing she was expecting her first child with her husband Prince Harry.

The groom will be dressed in royal attire and enter the wedding on a horse, a popular tradition in most North Indian weddings.

The bride and groom ‘will walk around a fire seven times, once for each of the seven lifetimes they will spend together.’

Priyanka, who headlined three seasons of the ABC crime drama Quantico, is one of Bollywood’s biggest female leads with acting credits in several big-ticket films.

Meanwhile Nick and his brothers Kevin and Joe formed a successful pop-rock band, The Jonas Brothers, in 2005 and soared to fame as members of Disney’s stable of teenage stars. The band split up in 2013.
