Uzodinma Iweala's Book Selected For The "Best Fiction Books Of The Year"

Uzodinma Iweala’s book, Speak No Evil, has been picked by Library Journal as one of the best fiction books of the year. The news was announced by Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, his mother, via her Twitter page.

Uzodinma is a medical Doctor and an American author of three books namely: Beast Of No Nation(2005), Our Kind of People: Thoughts on the HIV/AIDS Epidemic(2012) and Speak No Evil(2018).

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), has released the May/June WASSCE results, withholding results of 13.79 per cent candidates as 59.22 per cent pass English Language and Mathematics. WASSEC candidate Speaking at a press briefing held at its corporate office, Yaba, Lagos on Monday, Head of National Office, Nigeria, Mr Olu Adenipekun said the performance results recorded this year improved over the 2015 and 2016 WASSCE. Chicago police offered a detailed glimpse into their work on the Jussie Smollett case, releasing 61 pages of records to WGN on Wednesday following a Freedom of Information Act request. The document dump arrives one day after a surprising twist in the case against the Empire actor, with Cook County prosecutors dropping the 16-count indictment that accused him of masterminding a racist and homophobic attack on himself in order to further his career.
